I n 2018, Prim’s will undergo a reinvention of sorts – a realigning of our products to reflect our spectacular surroundings and the evolving interests of our customers.

Carmel is unique for a number of cultural- and lifestyle-driven reasons. The area is a staple scene for high-end and classic automobiles, food and wine, tourism and outdoor recreation, landscape photography, and luxurious home living. Carmel is also one of the most dog-friendly cities in California.

Prim’s will be introducing products and product lines aimed squarely at catering to these robust and thriving cultures and lifestyles. In essence, the new general store will be a one-stop-shop that defines the very ethos that makes Carmel the great destination it is to live, visit, and play.

Prim’s will continue to offer housewares, patio furniture, garden items, Big Green Egg and Weber products, but it will see the creation of the following departments/sections: outdoor recreation; electronics; gourmet food (with a focus on local purveyors); automotive (high-end/niche brands); high quality pet products; gifts and collectibles.

Our buyers will begin in January by attending CES, the biggest consumer electronics show in the country, and the Outdoor Retailer Winter Trade Show, offering the largest selection of outdoor gear and equipment. Customers can expect new products arriving often and throughout the year. The physical setting will also undergo some renovations allowing for more visual displays and activities throughout the store.

With the consumer experience being at the heart of our business, customers can count on an engaging and knowledgeable team of experts and plenty of in store demonstrations and hands on workshops.
